Mary's of Boyne

Mary’s love of family (third generation on her family ranch in Charlevoix County, Michigan) compelled her to purchase The E. J. Shoppe-a family owned & operated business of thirty years in the quaint town of East Jordan, Michigan. Her love of community and vision of fashion combined to re-stimulate the business and re-established The E. J. Shoppe as a hub in the community.

Twelve years later after much cajoling by a long time customer and resident of Boyne City an opportunity arose to purchase the former Western Auto on Lake St. in Boyne City, Michigan (less than ten miles from East Jordan). So from grease to glamour Mary’s of Boyne was born and joined the “family” of stores owned and operated by Mary H. Faculak.

Mary’s mission in all of her businesses and endeavors is to give back to those who support the businesses by doing fundraisers via fashion shows throughout the region. To date these events have contributed over $7,000 to area churches, civic organizations, etc.

Mary believes in giving back both financially and with her time. She serves on the Charlevoix Area Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, Little Traverse Conservancy Board of Directors & Executive Committee, Northern Community Mediation Board of Directors & is Secretary of that Board, Boulder Park Terrace Guild, St. Luke’s Ladies Guild and is Executive Director of the East Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce.
